Across the Border

Parallel Lines

He was travelling through the universe on a parallel line
He was aiming for the end where no stars shine
He could see himself on the other side
Waiting for his memories to subside

No one’s quite sure about parallel lines
Looking in but not seeing out
Can we change our self or is it fate
That allows our conscious to separate

It’s so frustrating watching all his mistakes
Not being able to help or concentrate
On righting the wrongs throughout his life
When travelling through the universe in his parallel life

No one’s quite sure about parallel lines
Looking in but not seeing out
Can we change our self or is it fate
That allows our conscious to separate

We must never encroach the parallel line
We can only watch and never entwine
History dictates we must never intrude
On living and dying where a life can be viewed

No one’s quite sure about parallel lines
Looking in but not seeing out
Can we change our self or is it fate
That allows our conscious to separate

Do we really believe in parallel lines
Where other worlds meet and stars collide
Where déjà vu doesn’t exist
As actions are seen and then dismissed

No one’s quite sure about parallel lines
Looking in but not seeing out
Can we change our self or is it fate
That allows our conscious to separate
